This is for the creative musician or musician who wants to learn more about how to construct and write songs. Campers will also work with faculty as studio musicians to realize their music in the studio both creating and producing a multi track demo, creating original artwork for the demo, and a live in studio performance of their songs. Campers who play guitar or bass are encouraged to bring their own instruments, while the schools will provide amps, mics, keyboards, drums, and recording equipment. This camp is for campers age 9 to 17.
This camp engages both the rockstar and the musician as campers learn to form and name a band, create poster artwork for the show, album artwork for the demo, create original and cover arrangements, record a demo, and put on a rock show at the end of the week. Although campers who play guitar and bass are encouraged to bring there own instruments, the schools will provide drums, amps, keyboards, and microphones. If you camper is not currently playing an instrument, one can be recommended. This camp is available for campers age 10 to 17.
This camp is not only for the young Jazz enthusiast, but also for any musician wanting to improve their improvising abilities. Campers will learn jazz techniques that easily cross over to any genre, including soloing, transcribing, and arranging for their instrument. Campers are encouraged to learn to play both by ear and from charts. Learning quickly how to effectively write out music and communicate effectively with other musicians both on the stage and in the studio. This camp is for campers 11 to 17.
