Kara Ross: Voice

Bachelor of Music Vocal Performance Liberty University

Kara Ross comes from Englewood, FL where her interest in music began. She's been singing ever since she can remember, but the first time she became interested in playing music was in elementary school. She pursued many different types of instruments through the end of high school, participating in marching band, jazz band and symphonic band, but always had an underlying passion and love for singing.

Kara attended Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA for four years and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Music with a concentration in performance, a vocal emphasis, and a choral specialization. She studied with Mrs. Linda Granger who was the one who inspired her to pursue vocal instruction. In college, she sang at many different venues including Carnegie Hall with the Liberty University Chamber Singers. She has performed with Opera on the James in Lynchburg, VA as well as Opera Roanoke in Roanoke, VA. Opera Roanoke is also where she completed a year-long young artist program.

Classical singing is Kara's specialty and she loves to introduce beginner students to the techniques they need to sing freely and beautifully, no matter what style they chose to perform.
