Josh Williams

Bachelor of Music in Cello Performance - Bowling Green State University

Josh Williams is a performer and private cello instructor living in the Akron area. He has performed with Perrysburg Symphony, Dearborn Symphony, Tuscarawas Philharmonic, Master Singers Chorale of NE Ohio, and Player's Guild of Canton, among others. He is an avid interpreter of new music for solo cello and enjoys working with composers to explore the instrument's sonic potential. Mr. Williams began his teaching career in 2015 while completing a Bachelor's degree in Cello Performance at Bowling Green State University where he studied with Alan Smith. His other primary teachers include Elaine Anderson of the University of Mount Union, and Paul Kushious of the Cleveland Orchestra. He finds immense joy in teaching music to students of all ages and is dedicated to making string instruments more accessible to everybody while building a larger music community.
