When it comes to taking music lessons, you have a variety of options. At first glance, taking lessons at home might seem to be the best route. After all, it’s convenient and you don’t have to worry about traveling. But when you start to consider the benefits that studying music at a school can offer, you may find that enrolling in a music school is actually the best choice for you. It is our strong belief that lessons with a music school like ours provide the best learning environment for students.

Here are a few reasons why:

Community

Studying music in your home is a solitary activity, and you may not have opportunities to connect with other students and musicians. We provide regular opportunities (recitals, summer camps, group programming) that not only foster connections, but also further your growth and development in music. At our school, you will be part of a community and can develop valuable relationships as a result. You may even choose to explore other instruments - and we have teachers that can teach any instrument all under one roof!

We are proud to have built so many important relationships in our over 10 years of operation. We can utilize our strong network to provide opportunities and make connections for our students, as a school tends to have more opportunities and connections than a single music teacher does. For instance, if you’re planning to audition for a conservatory, a music school is more likely to have someone on staff who’s gone to that conservatory, or who knows someone who’s gone to that conservatory. This can mean valuable information and networking connections that can help further your music education.

Performance Opportunities

At our schools, we go above and beyond to provide performance opportunities for our students. It is core to who we are. We provide recitals each quarter for all of our students. Our recitals are a great opportunity for students not only to perform, but to see different instruments and hear different genres of music, expanding their overall music knowledge.

But we don’t stop at recitals. We provide opportunities for students to perform throughout our community, giving real world performance experiences. This includes national anthem performances with the Akron Rubberducks and local non-profits, and performances at local venues and festivals, including Musica, Jilly’s Music Room, and the PorchRokr Arts and Music Festival.

Fewer Distractions

We built two locations designed with your optimal learning experience in mind. While home may be convenient, it is likely not conducive to music lessons. At home, students may be distracted by siblings making noise, the TV in the background, pets running in and out of the room, the teacher stuck in traffic, etc. At our schools, you won’t need to worry about these distractions. You’ll enjoy a private studio with plenty of space for you and the teacher, so you can stay focused and get the most out of your lesson time.

Scheduling

We recognize that families have a lot of activities and priorities to fit into the day. We work with each family to ensure a consistent schedule for music lessons. Do you have more than one child taking music lessons? We’ll work to coordinate lessons to ensure an easy, convenient experience for you. While your students are in lessons, you are welcome to utilize our waiting room to take calls or answer emails, or even run a quick errand. Our locations are near many amenities to add to the convenience!

And you won’t need to worry about the teacher making it to lessons on time. Our teachers are present, in-studio and ready for lessons to start when you are! Our administrative staff work with teachers to ensure they are on time for their next lessons.

So, lessons at home or lessons at our school? What’s right for you? We are confident that you will cherish and love your experiences with us, and hope you take the opportunity to meet us! We make it our mission to provide the best music lessons around, where we can develop your skills and foster a love of music. Are you ready to take a free trial lesson with one of our teachers?
